Profile

Dr Wamedh Taj-Aldeen qualified in 2003 from Babylon University Medical School in Iraq. He was trained initially in general medicine in Qatar and obtained Certificate of Board in Internal Medicine (CABIM) in 2011. Dr Taj-Aldeen joined national training programme in North Scotland and completed his training in medicine and general gastroenterology at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in August 2019. After he completed CCT accreditation, he started his first consultant career in Aberdeen where he obtained more experience in endoscopy (gastroscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP procedures). He obtained a substantive consultant post in gastroenterology in Milton Keynes since November 2019. At Milton Keynes University Hospital, Dr Taj-Aldeen started to lead the upper GI cancer service in addition to his role as general gastroenterologist.

Dr Taj-Aldeen has a broad experience in upper GI symptoms like reflux disease and hepatobiliary conditions. He also has special interest in both Irritable bowel and inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease).

Dr Taj-Aldeen provides regular lectures and bedside teaching to the junior doctors and medical students in Buckingham. He was also providing teaching lectures to the medical students in Aberdeen university and Weil Cornell medical college students in Qatar.
