My experience with Dr Ghura has been exemplary. Dr Ghura was recommended to me by Dr Richards in Macclesfield which originally came from my GP referral in Knutsford. With my initial consultation at the Alex, Dr Ghura was very clear, pragmatic and informative with his explanation as to what I would be going through. He didn’t pull any punches about the impact and physical and mental issues that may be of relevance given my work role which involves a lot of personnel interaction. What really helped was Dr Ghura’s understated sense of humour which I greatly appreciated. At the clinic for the operation, the staff and overall support was excellent, friendly and professional. I had been concerned but the whole experience has been so much better than I thought and the end result, a hardly noticeable forehead scar lost in my hairline, is testament to Dr Ghura and his team’s ability…….thank you

Dr Ghura is an amazing consultant. From the first appointment when he diagnosed my skin cancer through to the final appointment when I was discharged he was very professional, understanding and caring. He took the greatest care to remove my basal cell carcinoma which was between my lip and nose. He explained everything clearly to me and I felt really comfortable asking him questions. During the operation he was very caring and understood my nerves (as were the rest of his team). I felt very reassured by him and would definitely recommend him to others who need a similar procedure. He takes great care in what he does and the scar I have been left with is much less noticeable than I imagine it might be. If I ever needed something similar doing again (hopefully not) I wouldn't hesitate to make an appointment with Dr Ghura. A lovely man.

I was diagnosed with a BCC and told that this should be removed by a Mohs surgeon. I looked on line and decided on Dr Vindy Ghura as he was highly qualified in this area. After my initial consultation I was very reassured that he would be able to help me. He explained in detail how he would carry out this procedure and was happy to answer all my questions and worries. Although my consultation was at the BMI Alexander hospital he carried out the procedure was carried out at the Everything Skin Clinic nearby, where all the staff were efficient and caring.
I would have no hesitation in consulting Dr Vindy Ghura again if required and recommending him.

I was really surprised reading these reviews. I felt rushed in my consultation by this doctor. He was dismissive and glib. His manner was terrible and I complained and didn't have to pay for my consultation because it was agreed that he was awful. I would not recommend him at all.

Dr Vindy Ghura is one of 70 fully trained Consultant Mohs Surgeons in the UK. Mohs Surgery is a specialist technique for removing the most difficult “non-melanoma” skin cancers (squamous cell and basal cell carcinomas and offers the highest cure rates. Dr Ghura set up the Mohs skin cancer service in Sheffield winning the Hospital’s Service development of the year award. Dr Ghura is honoured to have been elected President of the British Society for Dermatological Surgery (BSDS), the largest Skin surgery society in Europe and one to which almost all Dermatological (Skin) Surgeons and Mohs Surgeons in the UK belong to.
Dr Ghura has a Masters degree in Medical Education from Cardiff University (gained with distinction) and regularly teaches other doctors about skin disease. He has also been an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians for many years. He has given numerous lectures and talks on skin cancer and skin disease both nationally and internationally.
