When I first met Dr Kingston I found her to be very down to earth she was so funny. She explained the procedure from beginning to end and put me at ease as I was a bit anxious. In the theatre she kept talking to me to take my mind off all that was going on till I fell asleep. In the evening of my operation she again came to see me which I thought was exceptionally thoughtful. Dr Kingston is a very professional thoughtful person and there is no way you could improve.

I cannot thank Dr Liz Kingston enough for the way she made me feel and how she phoned me at home the night before my surgery to explain what would be happening to me. She has a lovely caring attitude and as an elderly patient having an operation this meant everything to me

Thank you for leaving this lovely feedback. I have been making an effort to contact patients for planned surgeries in advance to give them time to ask questions, and allow me to address any concerns they might have so that they feel better prepared for their surgery. I am glad to hear the phone call is useful, and hope you are now recovering well from your procedure.

I am one of dr Kingstons success stories She assisted in my surgery back in May. On my behalf she negotiated a spinal for my surgery, because with my health concern a general anaesthetic wasn’t suitable. She explained the procedure and the fact that hadn’t been done before. My two daughters bombarded her with questions and she answered every one with precision and honesty. Throughout the surgery she was by my side offering reassurance, as the operation was coming to an end she left my side to ring my daughters with how well it had gone. She immediately returned to tell me that my girls were thrilled. I can honestly say that Whiston and the whole NHS are very lucky to have her. Just this week I have been given the amazing news that I am cancer free. Thank you so much Dr Kingston!

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback. I think it is really important that patients get the opportunity to ask any questions they have, and if it is possible to meet with family members too to address their worries then that is even better! I've added courtesy calls to family members, once patients arrive in recovery, to my regular practice whenever patients are happy for me to do so and time allows, and have found it is usually well received by families and lets them relax knowing their loved one is safe after surgery. I hope you are now well on your way to recovering from your surgery.

Dr Kingston gave exemplary care and service. She explained processes clearly, listened well and responded to my anxieties by adapting the procedure from a general anaesthetic to a spinal block. She even arranged specific background music for the procedure to my taste to put me at my ease. She was approachable personable an exceptional communicator and extremely professional.

Thank you for your very kind feedback. I am glad to hear that a spinal anaesthetic was a good approach for you. I like to offer a choice of anaesthetic techniques where possible, and spinal anaesthetics can be a great choice for many patients, allowing them to eat and drink quickly after surgery with no drowsiness, confusion, and often even better comfort levels than usual. Listening to music can be a great way to relax during surgery under spinal anaesthetic, so I am pleased to hear this approach worked well for you. I hope you are well on your way to recovery after your procedure.

I was in whiston hospital under the care of Liz Kingston. I have never had surgery before and I honestly felt in the best hands.. I was fully informed.. reassured and exceptionally looked after. I cannot thank Liz enough for the time she took with me and how amazing she did her job, nothing was too much and she gave me her full attention always. Even after surgery she came to check on me and update me. If I ever have to go in hospital again 100% will be asking for liz to be there with me. I cannot fault her she is a true hero. Thankyou liz so so much! Sending lots of love from Miriam Joy Dobson
