I was referred to the Urology Dept in Derby following high PSA reading in January and Dr Das joined in the consultation. He is charming and knowledgable and explained the options to me. he advised me that radiotherapy was the best way forward once he had got the results of all the scans which disclosed no spread. I accepted this advice and had a course of 20 sessions of Radiotherapy in August coupled with injections. Dr Das was positive in outlook whilst not giving me any guarantee of success. I returned yesterday for the results of my latest PSA test which was 0.12 and he was as pleased as I was with the reading and apart from 6 monthly reviews he will hopefully not need to see me again. What a great result just in time for Xmas. It is only fair to acknowledge the contributions of the Urology team and all the people in Radiotherapy and the various scanning personnel . I will forever be indebted to you all.

This Doctor is amazing. He is my oncologist Doctor at Royal Derby Hospital. You can ask him questions about your treatment, he is polite at all times, he puts your mind at rest, this Doctor has given me hope to carry on with my chemotherapy treatment, when I thought my life was nearly over. I have hope now to look forward to a new way of life. I always look forward to seeing him, as I have to on a regular basis, with secondary cancer. My fear goes when we have had discussions about my treatment, and how I’m feeling in general with it all. Thank you to an amazing, caring, and very understanding Doctor.
