12 months ago I was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer with several very worrying symptoms, causing me high levels of anxiety and uncertainty about my future outlook. Following diagnosis and in the current context of NHS stress, Dr Daz responded immediately to a telephone message left, leading to an extended discussion, a specific programme of treatment and close monitoring of progress. This had led to a dramatic improvement in my condition with key indicators reducing to undetectable levels, enabling me to live a normal, comfortable and positive day-to-day life, for which I am deeply grateful. Throughout this process Dr Das has been an inspirational source of support and care, providing clearly informed feedback, very positive encouragement and a highly effective, specific programme of treatment. His deep professional knowledge and wonderful inter-personal skills combine to inject confidence and optimism, on which basis I can now look forward to a process of regular reviews with security and gratitude.

Appraisal for Dr. Prantik Das After numerous phone calls and consultations Dr.Das was recommended to me, and I was redirected to his care from the NHS Royal in Chesterfield. Dr.Das exceeded all expectations. He is an extremely knowledgeable, capable, approachable, dedicated and pleasant person, who focuses on the individual. He looks at the positivity in every situation. His optimism outshines all negation. He also gives constructive criticism if necessary and works to improve outcomes. After being diagnosed with a complicated bowel cancer, I stayed nearly 3 weeks in hospital. Doctors gave me a very pessimistic outcome, did not recommend Chemotherapy, and basically gave up on me. I now have completed 12 sessions of Chemotherapy , some immunotherapy’s and radio therapy. Never felt unwell, my CT scans showed a significant shrinkage of the tumour. I am certain that Dr.Das has prolonged my life, and has given me a healthy outlook into the future. I can only praise and congratulate him and his excellent staff at the Nuffield. A, S Guest

Dr Das gave me excellent advice regarding my prostate cancer and oversaw the equally excellent treatment I had at GenesisCare at Oxford resulting in a very satisfactory outcome for me.
