Totally lacking in empathy, poor listening skills and generally very impatient. Some bad judgement and decision making in my experience, because he would not listen to the full account of my experience. I was unable to speak to him to discuss, despite repeated attempts, over the phone and written, so I had to liase via his staff. Even the physios disagreed with his decision. I do not believe he has the fullest evidence based information out there for some conditions and not enough experience with specialist pain conditions

I would highly recommend Dr Fai, he knows his stuff, he is understanding and sympathetic to his patients and his methods are sound and logical, yet he is straight with you too, in a very fair way. As someone who has been in pain for 35 years or more, I have just about seen everyone, had every test and tried most treatments. The trouble is with pain, you want to stop moving, and sometimes you have to and have no choice, but with the treatments that Dr Fai offers, you need to get moving for them to be effective, before and after the injections. So for the previous reviewer who got 'told off', if you wont help yourself, why should he help you! I know from years of personal experience, only you can get yourself strong, there is no quick fix, he is not a miracle worker, and this man knows his stuff. It pays to listen to him and take his advice.

Dr. Kevin Fai is good in the medical aspects of ‘what might cause pain’ but my experience with him has caused me to never return to a pain specialist, ever. I suffer from mild to sometimes severe pain. He did MRI’s and never really met with me to discuss what he found. When we did meet, he lacked empathy, kindness, and had no ability to understand what I was & have been going through. My final visit he just ‘told me off’ for not doing ‘his exercises’. He didn’t realise the reason I wasn’t doing them was because his clinic booked me in for treatment w/ Cortosone. He had no idea I was booked for a day in Hospital! So he blamed me & told me off, saying I refused his help. This Dr. Has no people ability. I’m shocked he works w/patients in pain at all. Watch out if you visit him. He’s not a kind person...at all!
