Written by a patient at Royal Berkshire Hospital

When i first met the doctor in critical care unit at Reading Royal Berkshire Hospital, I saw how passionately serious he was amongst the nurses and students showing his perfectionism and thorough thinking trying to figure out what is the best course of treatment with the team. He made sure my heart was not scarred or anything odd before my pacemaker op had the go ahead. His charisma and humour shines everywhere he goes and everyone smiles and feels content with the doctor. As i was moved into the operating room i heard music which helped calmed me a little He has a great sense of humour when it is needed to encourage dopamine in my brain for a smooth operation. He encouraged me to stay awake to making the surgery easier and safer. I was able to chat to everyone and i felt cared for during the whole operation. His team was amazing and was in tune with his needs and his stitching is amazingly neat .
