I have PMR & GCA. I have found this a very difficult condition to comes to terms with & understand, most PMR/GCA patients feel this way I'm led to believe. Not many people understand the difficulties we experience as we look so well. (Don't always feel it) My last rheumatology appt was with Dr MacDonald; he was so understanding of this condition. He didn't rush me, he listened and gave me firm advice on my medication and the best way forward. He also arranged for me to see a physiotherapist on how to manage my time and energies. This was very helpful and re-assuring. I am more than happy and feel fortunate that I was given that appt with Dr MacDonald, it made such a difference to me. I hope he continues to work with the rheumatology at the RBH.
