I have seen Dr. James Peter at the renal clinic monthly and he has looked after me with professionalism and listened actively my new symptoms and always his advices worked out on me. I have been feeling very well recent years that sometimes I forget that I am sick ( if there weren’t the pills to remind me that)

I have been given clear diagnostics, a treatment plan and this Consultant has given me and my husband the time to ask questions. He has been in contact with me via email with test results and for any further questions something that has been invaluable in recent months. As it stands I can’t think of any improvements that could be made

I always feel as though my opinion on medication matters. He is very attentive, personable and I always makes me feel comfortable to be able to speak about any issues I have (something I lack with my doctors surgery). Dr Peters has been looking after me for well over a year now, I had been really struggling with the treatment and medication for my polymyalgia rheumatica. Dr Peters thought it would be a good idea to get me onto Sarilumab injections. Because of the cost of this medication he had to make a special request for me to be allowed to have them. Within weeks of taking this new biologic drug my condition improved dramatically and I felt really cared for because of the fact that he went to the trouble of getting approval for me, I will be forever grateful for the care and expertise he has brought to me and my autoimmune disorder. I feel humbled and deeply grateful by all that the Hammersmith Hospital does for me. Dr Peters in the team are amazing.

I am extremely grateful to be one of Dr Peters' patients. He has seen me since I was diagnosed with a chronic condition, and has carefully monitored my results, making adjustments to my treatment plan as we go. He has always replied to my emails outside of consultations, offering me support and advice, and following up with additional appointments as I have needed. I feel listened to, and he always remembers my particular circumstances. He is personable and approachable, and I appreciate that he discusses tweaks to my treatment with his colleagues so I feel that my care is consistent across the department. Throughout the pandemic, Dr Peters has always made the time to see me - and in person, as far as circumstances safely allow. I hugely appreciate his knowledge and experience, and kind nature.
