James has been terrific throughout my illness. He has been caring, welcoming, attentive, responsive and informative. Elsewhere I have experienced a coldness and aloofness with a previous consultant and James is the antithesis of that. He demonstrates admirably how one can combine warmth and humanity with professional efficiency.
Dr Peters is very professional and supportive. He has excellent communication skills and discusses my treatment in a way I understand but don’t feel patronised. I feel he listens to me and addresses my concerns. It is reassuring that he knows my case well.
I was fortunate to be referred to Dr Peters for investigation of cutaneous vasculitis. He is a first class physician who is clearly a highly knowledgeable expert in this field. In addition, he is also a very pleasant and approachable person with a relaxed and calm 'bedside manner’. At the outpatient visit he was an empathic and very patient and unhurried listener, with a rapid understanding of my several clinical issues, leading to clear and tailored discussion and practical advice. Subsequently he also took the trouble to personally communicate blood results, and to kindly respond to further queries. In my experience Dr Peters is an outstanding and caring doctor whom I would recommend most highly.
He listens carefully to what I have to say, talks in a way that I understand and makes thorough examinations. He gives no sense that he is rushed though I am sure that he has many commitments.
My mother was put under the care of Dr Peters and his team earlier this year, and since then we have nothing but praise for Dr Peters and his team, especially the Lupus Nurse Jayne Hollis, who is extremely efficient and reliable, and that we are always kept well informed and communicated every step of the way. Their great care and reassurance for my mother is first class and yet very friendly, and they always manage to put my mother at ease despite her anxiety for her other complex health issues. Thank you so much Dr Peters and his great team.
