I am both a patient and, until three weeks ago, a carer for my wife who suffered with MND. Dr Whitehouse supported me throughout my difficult journey and was the one to come home and certify my wife's death.
As a patient, I have total trust in Dr Whitehouse because she is a great listener (not in the sense that she picks up (and remembers!) those little things you might say), VERY knowledgeable but also very 'connected' with her patients. She understands you from the inside rather than superficially. I cannot overemphasise the importance of this.
Dr. Emma is caring, diligent and the most attentive of doctors. She listens with patience and always deals with me in a most efficient and kindly manner. Explains her answers to my questions simply and helpfully. Great sense of humour. Having experienced a number of doctors in my 83 years she is the best.
It says quite a lot about Dr Whitehouse that I didn't have to think about the answers to the trust/listen/recommend questions above, it was a Totally every time.
I am so pleased I found myself "allocated" to her on reaching 75; what a stroke of luck.
Dr Whitehouse is without a doubt the best GP I have ever had, She is warm, easy to talk to and remembers everything. I have a complex mental and physical health background but always feel I am in safe and caring hands. I never feel rushed or silly. The NHS should be very proud of her.
Excellent care. Doctor listened, asked questions, treated appropriately and I felt very well looked after.
