Lovely gentleman. Explained my problem in great detail with kindness and compassion. He even made a direct phone call when I had enquired about another procedure . No doubt I shall call him again to ask questions which I forgot . I always seem to be in denial when giving information to doctors. Must be a mental block on my part.! If you have any problems in his field this is your man he listens and puts you at ease.He quickly responded by letter on results. I cannot thank him enough and thoroughly recommend a consultation.

I suffered from stomach discomfort for about 10 years. In that time I have had a number of gastroenterologist consultations, and many investigative procedures undertaken (scopes, scans, ultrasounds). I was prescribed high dosage of PPI's for most of these years. My symptoms were gradually worsening and the discomfort was wakening me during the night.
I attended Dr Mowat after I was discharged by my latest gastroenterologist, who suggested that I might just have to live with the discomfort. Dr Mowat was able to diagnose my symptoms at my first consultation, and after following his advice the pain has gone. I no longer take PPI's. This has had an immeasurable effect on my quality of life. I'm so grateful to Dr Mowat for his care and attention, and I therefore have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

I have absolutely no reservations in giving Dr Craig Mowat 5 stars on all counts. From first consultation through procedure and feedback ( both verbally and by mail) he was extremely professional and personable.

I was pleased with Dr Craig 's treatment but not with the after consultation care ...
My phone calls and inquiries were ignored and the results of my C.T scan were not available , despite my inquiries , until a visit to my doctor a week and a day later !!
Tayside Complete Care had my e-mail address, assuming they did not want to communicate any personal details through a phone call .

Outstanding consultant.
I have spoken to Dr Mowat on a few occasions regarding various GI tract issues.
He is extremely knowledgable, experienced and caring. In complex situations he looks objectively at the whole picture and tailors treatment plan carefully and thoughtfully.
Dr Mowat always takes time to listen and explain results. Just as important, I always feel at ease and leave feeling more positive.
You could not ask for better care...5 stars aren’t enough.

I specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with stomach and bowel symptoms. For some, these symptoms can be very disabling and difficult to talk about. I aim to put patients at ease so they feel able to describe their problems with the goal of determining the most appropriate investigations and treatments as swiftly as possible. I have a special interest in irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and the early detection of bowel cancer.
