Excellent manner in the clinic we saw him in, and he was very good at explaining the results and answering our many questions, in a very calm and friendly manner. We felt very reassured following our visit. Would be helpful to have an indication of time frames for next investigation, but realise this may not be possible in the NHS. There was also a very welcoming atmosphere throughout the whole Cardiology department.

I was a patient as a day-case for a Coronary Angiogram in the CDCU at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital. Dr Farquarson and all of the CDCU staff were great. He carried out the procedure, and was extremely friendly and reassuring at all times. This made me feel at ease and not anxious at all, especially since beforehand I had been really nervous about having the angiogram done. He was very clear at explaining the diagnosis afterwards, as well as the next stages of treatment to both me and my wife. He and his team are such an asset to the NHS - I would recommend them to anybody.

I saw Dr Farquharson in the heart clinic at Diana princess of wales hospital in Grimsby. I had been very worried about attending this appointment, but it was well worth it. He spent a lot of time with me and my daughter explaining the likely condition I had, as well as things I could do myself to stop it triggering as much until the medications he commenced started to work. I have felt much better since my visit, and the tablets have worked very well up to now. I found him very pleasant and down to earth although clearly very knowledgable, as he virtually knew straight away what my problem was, and how to fix it. Both me and my daughter were very impressed with him.

I have had several tests at Grimsby Hospital for chest pains, the last was a Angiogram which I wasn't that keen to have after reading the possible side effects which I thought unfounded after Dr Farquharson explained the ins and outs of the test I felt at complete ease. Dr Farquharson and his team were excellent in the treatment, friendly, professional and caring service which I thank them all. After the Angiogram Dr Farquharson gave both myself and my wife a talk through of the results and explained the treatment needed straight a way which really put our minds at rests very quickly.
