It felt more like a hotel stay than a hospital. The care was second to none and the food was delicious. All the staff are lovely and everything was explained to me every step of the way.

Amazing individual care, delivered with kindness and respect both while I was an outpatient and inpatient. Everyone who I met was polite and supportive. Great care, highly recommended. Thank you St Hugh’s.

In febuary 2021 i had a tummy tuc surgeon mr riaz nurse Sarah grantham after a few days the skin died around the wound no fault of the surgeon just one of those things after nearly 2 years today november 2022 i was discharged from st hughs, the after care i received was amazing, i have quite a few more operations, stomach pumps the works and the pain well you cant describe, i could call my surgeon or sarah when ever i needed and would get an appointment instantly, today my wound has healed with a scar nearly invisible i am so gratefull to both mr riaz and sarah grantham for the amazing care they have given me i would highly recomend st hughs and the surgeon and nurse

St Hughs's is a fantastic hospital. Both my husband and I have been treated there and have always been treated with respect and dignity. The staff are very professional and friendly in their approach to patients. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the food is exceptional !! Cannot recommend St Hugh's enough

Asked at reception to use toilet ,reply you can’t come in here- Covid ,it’s been 1yr, no excuse ,everyone needs to use the toilet-Discussed, sent a nearly 80yr old in pouring rain round back of hospital only to find toilets locked ,only available toilet a discussing port-a-loo, used by workmen-No hand washing facilities - and this was after travelling 50miles .Not the best of experience at Private visit . Now I have a bill of £108

I highly recommend Mr Platt. I am 4 weeks post op and could not be happier with the results. And that’s all thanks to Mr Platt listening to what I wanted to achieve, and advising me and guiding me in the right direction the get the best possible outcome. He is very thorough and highly professional. And I felt comfortable and put my trust in him from the first consultation. Thank you Mr Platt and his team.

I was referred to st hughes regarding my long term shoulder and elbow pain and the consultant I saw was lovely and eventually I felt at ease . However my experience on arriving could have been handled better. I called the week prior to my appointment to accept it and also to ask if my carer could attend with me as i also suffer terrible anxiety and have dizzy spells. The lady i spoke to was reassuring and said it was not a problem and she would put it on my file for when i attended. Upon arrival, the staff on the entrance was very quick to point put i had to attend alone of which i explained why i wasnt . She went off to ask if it had been logged, and in the room where other staff where I heard them say, " they all say that". This I assume was the comment to someone suffering anxiety . At this point I was beginning to get very anxiety and my stress levels where rising. They eventually let my carer I with me . The staff member also told us to put masks on, of which both myself and carer where already wearing. My anxiety was rising and felt like walking out. Luckily for me, the consultant was lovely and didnt mind my carer being in the room with me. I've been to this hospital a few times and my father has his cancer checks here, and have never come across such rude and uncaring staff. All I can say is I know times are hard at the moment , but rudeness and assuming someones illness is not called for. We dont all lie or fain illnesses. There are a lot of us who are genuine. I hope this review is read by st hughes and the staff make sure that if they are assuming someone just says that and we all lie, please make sure that patient can not hear that. Thankyou for adding to my anxiety.
