This doctor did not listen to me at all, instead spent all her time typing notes and looking at her computer screen (which I understand is important but never at the expense of a patient). She dismissed immediately all my symptoms as 'exam stress' and said I would get better in a few weeks despite me already having been to multiple previous appointments in regards to anxiety and low mood. She did not bother to acknowledge the fact a patient in front of her was attempting to explain recent worsening self harm and extreme low mood swings, instead ignoring or dismissing everything explained. She said that medication would make things worse and would be a long process that was't worth it in this case (despite multiple times me saying that it was getting harder and harder to cope with the low mood swings). She did not bother to suggest a follow up appointment. She did, however print of bits of paper with links to websites on and handed that to me without an explanation as to what they were until I asked. Really awful experience and I left feeling so much worse. Would recommend avoiding this doctor if you want any form of good care.

This doctor was really unsupportive and did not listen to me at all. She spent all her time typing on the computer, which I understand it is important to make notes but doing this at the expense of a patient is never acceptable. She did not care nor understand mental health issues in the slightest and told a patient who was attempting to discuss self harm and severe mood swings (she did not even bother to question or listen to this) that it was only 'exam stress' and would improve in a few weeks, this was after she has been told that multiple previous appointments have already been attended for anxiety. It was clear how hard I found the appointment and yet she did nothing to make this easier. I left feeling incredibly alone and disheartened. Would suggest booking an appointment with another doctor if you require any form of good care:)

I spoke to this doctor whilst pregnant and severely depressed as needed some help and advice. She was awful and wouldn't give me any help or advice or even put me in touch with someone who could help- she said she was 'only a general practitioner' and so couldn't do anything for me! I left the appointment no better off and in fact in a worse state having been treated so appallingly. I was literally in tears during the appointment with her and she was happy to finish the appointment with things still unresolved and me still in tears. I'm still in shock by what happened. Luckily I managed to get to the hospital and they were able to eventually help me. Please wait and see another doctor as this doctor is obviously over being just a GP! She was extremely unprofessional and had no idea about care/bedside manner.
