I was referred to Dr. Kane by my GP with on-going breathing difficulties following an incident at a water park in April 2016. The care and thorough investigation that followed the appointment has been excellent. I was diagnosed quickly and have been referred to a specialist for further tests / care. Throughout the investigating required to diagnose the injury, Dr. Kane has been in contact to keep me updated and check on symptoms.

I have had lung disease practically all my life and about 15 years ago my hospital consultant at the time informed me that my asthma had developed into emphysema and nothing more could be done for me. I met Binita at a patient event where we discussed my condition and she remarked that I did not appear to be a typical emphysema patient. I asked my GP to be referred to the Wythenshawe chest clinic under Dr.Kane. In the last couple of months I have had a detailed chest scan, full spirometry test, blood and sputum tests and have now been correctly diagnosed with Bronciectasis. I also need a different influenza injection and more prolonged /intense treatment with antibiotics if I get a chest infection. The team at Wythenshawe are absolutely fantastic I cannot thank and praise them enough. If you have a lung disease and are not satisfied with your treatment ask your GP for a referral I am sure you will not be disappointed

I attended a appointment with Dr Kane for the first time in July this year and I was pleased with the way I was dealt with. She listened to me in great detail and asked plenty of relevant questions to help me. At the end of my appointment she ensured I had time to ask questions and answered them all. I was glad of the e-mail contact after my appointment which managed to put my mind at rest with questions I had after leaving the hospital. Hopefully I never have the medical need to visit Doctor Kane again but If I do I will attend in the knowledge that I will be in very compassionate and capable hands. Thank You Dr Kane.

Having been treated by this doctor on several occasions I found her experienced ,effective ,compassionate and not afraid to think outside of the box , she also went above and beyond when she personally visited a different department to ensure I had my line fitted that day .I would trust her with my daughters health .
