My surgery went well at the hospital, but I had some reactions to something used. I was looked after well on the ward by the nursing team. Physiotherapists also visited to help with recovery. The enhanced recovery program seems to have a positive effect on the recovery from treatment. Thank you
The surgeon teams were great but as soon as I was out of operation room the got move to F9 but I think I was on the wrong place. Maybe because the hospital didn't have enough beds. As where I was many patients in and out most the same day but I end up 4 days 3 nights. I can't help myself to toilet or movement as I had knee replacement. I never been to ask for wash, brush my teeths and I'm in pain long enough before after I buzz the buzzer. On top of that one of the care there very grumpy I wet the bed as she put on the bowl and left me not try to straight so bed wet she refuse to change as I told her. Talk angry that not at the end I ask for the dry plastic sheet and left. You don't feel like you want to ask for anything after 2 days of of the nurse try to take blood pressure ect. Can't feel my heart beating then can't take temperature twice she did then she said I give up. After that she came back as I ask for pain killer, she give me liquid but call me wrong mane I told her that is not my name. Never see her again. I told another nurse about these. Too many things about these . But too be fair some nice nurse and good doctors but these place I will not go and stay in this F9 again.
It is no doubt Wythenshawe is the best hospital for heart patient, my father was brought as a in patient from fairfield and was the correct decision they made after 4 weeks of staying in there once bought to Wythenshawe Dr mcloghlan was v nice to dad and also Andy his c ordinator . F2 ward it self was also good but F6 was awful , the cleaning in the whole hospital was horrendous! The nurses are under staffed to be able to even look after my father and support with his anxiousness and way he felt when was I pain as they kept telling nurses to do other stuff. One minutes was told my dads white cells are high and coming down slowly and he won't be discharged in 14th Febuary 2025, then few hours later my dad's paper work and medication and said he is able to go home??? Didn't make sence and when spoke to the junior doctor Dr Asma on f6 she was nt helpful and wouldn't give me my dad's consultant name who decided he going home. She made me feel so down and wasn't empathic at all. The first thing that needs to be taught to these junior doctors is being g empathic and support. I just hope he is going to be ok with this infection at home.
All of the hospital staff were professional - particularly the night staff nurse on my ward.
Overall the care was not there, medically yes but the most important thing that was missed was the overall picture.

You need to look at the person not just the test results
I had lots of out patient appointments before I had an invasive surgery. All throughout my interactions with the doctors and nurses, everyone was very courteous, friendly and caring and gave their best to make me as comfortable as possible. I felt well cared for The areas of the hospital I have been at have been clean and hygienic. I totally recommend Wythenshawe to anyone needing their care
The nurses that on my ward have been very helpful and caring, especially Aaron and Libby (if my memory serves correctly). Thank you very much!
Myself and my husband have been treated at Wythenshawe over the past months. Our care has been excellent.
Fantastic care and attention was given at all times. Really pleased with all the staff. Thank you.
My recent visit to the Northwest Heart Centre early January at Wythenshawe Hospital was a very emotional and worrying time for my family and me. I suffered a heart attack, and I needed urgent emergency treatment followed by a quadruple heart bypass.
We would just like to thank everyone who helped from the fantastic paramedics in the ambulance, nursing staff in critical care, F5 nurses, intensive care nurses and then F6 nurses, the marvellous Doctors, consultant, and surgeon who saved my life. All whom had a very positive outlook which helped me enormously. Thank you so much everyone was brilliant.
