I decided to go private as the funding for an adult ADHD diagnosis is very difficult to get on the nhs. I have struggled most of my life with mental health problems and have met Dr Montgomery years before as a patient and was very happy to find him again. He was incredibly attentive when I told him about everything that had been going on for me. He was very empathetic and understanding to my struggles and extremely easy to talk to. I left with a diagnosis for ADHD and a mixed feeling of feeling emotional that I had wished I had known what it was sooner as I had tried medications for anxiety and depression etc over the years and none of them had really improved the quality of my life. I also left with a feeling of positivity that I have a name for what is wrong with me and I can finally start trying to get it treated and learn how to manage my symptoms. I would highly recommend Dr Montgomery to anyone who is thinking of visiting him.

I had a very positive experience with Dr Montgomery. The information I had been asked to send before the appointment was used, so I didn't feel like I had wasted my time. The questions I was asked helped me remember things that I hadn't thought to bring up earlier. At the end of the session I was also given links to additional materials I had not seen before. I also thought Dr Montgomery was very polite and friendly, and positive about providing meaningful help.

I found Dr Montgomery to be a very empathetic and knowledgable psychiatrist. It was a huge relief to find a doctor with experience and understanding of ADHD and I would highly recommend his service to those suspecting they too might have struggled with the challenges of this disorder.

I was made to feel very welcome and safe with Dr Montgomery. I was able to share my story and experience with him openly, after which we both worked together to identify and initiate the best treatment for my ADHD. I am grateful for the advice, support and the feeling of ease I experienced during my meeting with him . I highly recommend Dr Montgomery
