This was my first experience of talking to a Psychiatrist and Dr Denny ensured that it was a smooth, stress free experience. Dr Denny was very easy to talk to and a really good listener. He had clearly taken the time to thoroughly read the information I had sent to him prior to the appointment. He was respectful and professional and I would definitely recommend his services to anyone.

Dr Denny put me at ease straight away. He showed empathy and really listened to what I needed. He was professional, had thoroughly read my notes beforehand so knew what I wanted to focus on. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others.

Listened to what I had to say. Encouraged me when he notice I looked nervous. Did not rush me. Gave good advice for the future. Positive experience

Profile

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist. I was an NHS Consultant in Adult Mental Health for over 20 years and now work privately.

I trained as a doctor at Bristol University. I have a degree in Psychology and a Certificate in Psychotherapy. I became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1996 and a Fellow of the College a decade ago.

I make sure my patients receive a comprehensive assessment and appropriate treatment. In addition to prescribing medication, my psychodynamic approach helps to understand how past experiences relate to present difficulties. This can often be the key to recovery.
