this doctor listened and was reassuring despite a poor prognosis, he gave my dad more positive feelings than he had had previously and dad came away from all the consultations feeling happy

Alastair has been an excellent TPD - he answers queries promptly and completes any documentation sent to him immediately. He has always been very supportive at ARCP's and I know that he was my advocate during these times. I've really enjoyed working with him.

My mother attends Dr Thomson's clinic on a regular basis and we are both impressed by his caring and courteous manner.
He takes time to listen to any concerns that we may have and explains things in a way that is clear and easy to understand.
It can't be an easy job dealing with people suffering from cancer, but he inspires confidence and is very approachable.
It has meant that my 89 year old mother has been able to tackle cancer head on and not lost hope (or her sense of humour!).
He is a credit to his profession.

Dr Thomson has been an excellent training programme director- he is always present at meetings, listens to trainees comments and he is very supportive for trainees that have needed his help. Many thanks to Dr Thomson for his support over the past year- i hope that he continues to be the training programme director for many years to come.
