Mr Thomson I think is a very good doctor make me feel reassured about how my treatment is going and make sure I know about everything.
Dr Thomson was easy to talk to and listened to all I had to say and any questions I had. He was quite open with possible side effects etc. and I was told I could contact him at any time if I had any worries. He explained in depth the treatment options available.
A great doctor, caring, honest and open. Listens carefully to problems and has been a great source of comfort and encouragement.
Dr Thomson must be so busy as there are so many of us cancer patients BUT you would never know. He always appears to have as much time for you as you need. I could ask him anything, no matter how insignificant, and he would always take time to explain. I have total confidence in Dr Thomson. He is a very conscientious, caring doctor and I am totally happy with the treatment I am receiving from him.
We first met Dr Thompson in November, 2014, following a consultation the previous month with a surgeon, who had assured me that it was unlikely I would need chemotherapy, as my radical mastectomy and reconstruction had been successful and there was no involvement of the axillary nodes.
Dr Thompson spent almost two hours with my husband and I to explain the need for treatment in great detail and to reassure us. He took into account that my husband's first wife and a very good friend of mine had died of breast cancer ten years previously. He also adjusted my treatment schedule to accommodate our three week holiday booked to Madeira for Christmas ans New Year, as we had already had to cancel our October holiday.
At follow-up appointments, he has listened patiently to my string of side-effects and he has done everything possible to alleviate these.
I was a health Care Professional for 45 years and I have complete confidence in Dr Thompson.
