I have been diagnosed with Hypermobility Syndrome/EDS and POTs syndrome, to be able to ask questions and they were answered by Dr. Hakim, the understanding he had on both illnesses was excellent. I could not control my body temperature when I arrived into the hospital, I was in and out getting air and getting more stressed. As soon as I walked into Dr. Hakims' office for my appointment he had spotted the problem and put the air conditioning on. It was relief to have someone understand the problem. Dr. Hakim referred me for an Upright MRI and physiotherapy in the Hypermobility Unit. I feel I am in the right hands now after numerous other physios made me feel worse while being treated. I live in Southern Ireland and traveled over to see Dr. Hakim. I was diagnosed in Ireland but other Doctors and specialists were querying my diagnoses. The best trip I've made and money well spent. I will be travelling over again to London in the future for further tests regarding my POTs. I have had to email Dr. Hakim regarding a matter and he replied very quickly. I did not have to travel back to London to get this advise. It's reassuring to know you have someone with experience willing to reply to an email query. I'm not sure if it's possible being 2 different countries but every 3 months/6 months a trip to to Ireland for others to be diagnosed that cannot travel to London as they are too sick or cannot afford the consultant fees and travel costs. If they could just pay the consultant fee and travel to Dublin then financially it could be viable for others.

Prior to meeting Dr Hakim, my health was in rapid decline. I had reached the point where I had simply no option but to leave law school, as I was not able to cope day-to-day with the pain and dysfunction. Despite consulting with a plethora of doctors, I was unable to find one that could explain or treat my many worsening symptoms. Dr Hakim diagnosed me with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome during my first consultation, and designed a plan of action immediately. The reassurance of a diagnosis, combined with access to an amazing team that has gone above and beyond to help me manage my symptoms, has without a doubt changed my life. With Dr Hakim's help, I became physically able to return to university, and graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Law. I have absolutely no doubt that without Dr Hakim's help and support over the last few years, this would not have been possible. Dr Hakim is truly such an amazing doctor, and his expertise is matched by his wonderful, caring bedside manner. I honestly cannot thank him enough.

Before Dr Hakim diagnosed me with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, I was becoming increasingly unwell and had no option but postpone my studies at law school, as I was simply was not coping with the pain and dysfunction. I have now achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Law. I have absolutely no doubt that without Dr Hakim's help and support over the last few years, this would not have been possible. I saw many, many doctors - all of whom were unable to help me or offer an explanation for my declining health. Dr Hakim provided me with the reassurance of a diagnosis during my first consultation, alongside access to an amazing team that have gone above and beyond to help me treat and manage my symptoms. It is not an exaggeration to say that this has without a doubt changed my life. Dr Hakim is truly such an amazing doctor, with a wonderful bedside manner, and I honestly cannot thank him enough.

Dr Hakim is always highly praised by his patients for his ability to listen to and explain to them about their condition. His patients comes from various countries and across the UK and in many cases have been recommended by other patients. A huge number of patients get back in touch to say that they have had years of their condition being ignored or misdiagnosed and that they can now move on with their lives after seeing him and has a management plan in place.
