Mrs Sinead Rothrie

Sinead was very helpful kind and caring as well as being knowledgeable and providing practical suggestions about speaking and swallowing.
Following an operation, I was diagnosed as having a right vocal chord which was not moving, causing weakness in my speech. As I was on the follow up programme following chemo/radio therapy at the Marsden Hospital Chelsea, I was able to receive speech therapy sessions on Zoom with Sinead. I found all of the sessions very helpful and noticed a gradual strengthening of my voice. Recently, I returned to my ENT consultant who informed me that both vocal chords were moving which was probably the result of the speech therapy .
I have become a patient of Sinead's because of voice loss following immunotherapy treatment and also suffering from sepsis. This was during the Covid-19 lock-down of 2020. Because of this all our appointments have been video via Zoom. This has not hindered the care and attention I have received from Sinead, which has been excellent.
She has taught me how to improve my voice with exercises, and other help with swallowing and throat clearing.
She has also referred me to another hospital who specialise in the procedure I need to stop the vocal cord palsy that is affecting me, and they have agreed to carry out the procedure.
I have always found Sinead to very helpful and approachable and would thoroughly recommend her to anyone.
