I have had two previous kidney stones in the last 15 years that were very painful and were removed surgically. I was however offered Lithotripsy treatment for my third stone and this was a revelation, because it was pain free to remove it after only two treatments by the Urology specialist Radiographer Iain Burton.
Whilst removing it he kept me informed throughout the whole procedure. I would not hesitate to recommend Iain and his team to anyone who has a Kidney stone that requires removal.

My name is Gareth Williams,I attended the Lithotripsy Clinic at Heatherwood Hospital on five occasions between June and September 2020.Every time I visited the nursing staff were always polite ,welcoming and thorough in their work.
The radiographer,Iain, was very proffessional and most comforting, explaining each time what he was going to do,by reassuring me what the next step was,having seen the Xrays.
During the treatment he always asked whether or not the machine was too painful for me to bear and involved me in discussions throughout the procedure.
It resulted in the disintegration of two stones- one 9mm the other 8mm.
I have no hesitation in recommending Iain as a first class professional in his work.

My name is Ion Popescu i leave in Gerrards Cross and i have a kidney stone. I been send by Wexham hospital to Heatherwood Hospital for lithotripsy with Iain Burton. I want say a big thank you for Iain and hands down for him . Amazing person , amazing customer service with me , i think is the most nice person from my life. He explain me everything about my kidney, he help me a lot , me and my family we been surprise how nice it is this person in Urology Radiographer. He done for me an appointment as well to check how they are my kidney. NHS must be proud to have this person in the company, God bless him. Thank you Iain!

I found Iain to be totally professional and of a high calibre in his field. Not sure how he could make this service any better, he and the team are excellent.
