Sadly, I would not recommend this branch. Although, the experience started well and getting glassed was good. The contact lens side of the business leaves a lot to be desired. Miss prescribed, late orders, lack of customer service and knowledge, no clear directive to staff and the contact lens reward side well!!! No one wanted to take full responsibility for my complaint and I had to try hard for nearly six weeks to get a resolution and then it was not completed satisfactory. Gina was good and tried to hold the branch together, but inexperienced staff and lack of training was evident. Boots HO did not take responsibility. It is so sad that a brand that has been around for ages has gone downhill. Customer care - zero.

Friendly welcome and efficient 4 month pressure test after higher reading at annual check. Re-assured by Mr Kapil that nothing else needed until regular 12 month test.

I was not at all happy as I paid a lot of money for frames previously (more than £200) and at the time my frames were still available but the sales person would only drop the price by £30 ish if i just had lenses with my existing frames. This does not add up, and yes i am aware they have to make a profit, but not at my expense so i walked away as the sales person would not budge so they got 100% of nothing. if they had met me in the middle i would have gone for it.

excellent service. ladies on the reception area very good did my preliminary eye exam giving clear instructions.then saw optician who was excellent (mr ravi kapil) explained everything to me clearly asked me questions gave a thorough eye exam and advised me on my 'dry eyes'. would have no hesitation in recommending boots opticians hastings and especially this optician. excellent customer care and attention. will return in the future. many thanks
