Sharon Beale - Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist

I’m writing this review to say how impressed we were with Sharon Beale during my mums treatment . Sharon was professional, kind and took time to explain clearly to my mum how to place a catheter. At the age of 81 my mum is finding some appointments daunting to attend, Sharon had the ability to make her feel at ease and that she was being listened to about her urology issues. Sharon was by far the nicest and most knowledgeable nurse that I have come across in my health journey. She listened to me, she answered all my questions and made me feel like I understood what was going on. I couldn’t give her enough praise.

Like most men I suppose regarding self dilation, having a urology appointment filled me with dread, not so with Sharon Beale though. Sharon has a direct, no nonsense approach which I felt very comfortable with. Sharon is very kind, friendly and has vast knowledge, I would thoroughly recommend her. I found Sharon to be the perfect nurse! Very professional from start to finish. She made me feel at ease from the first minute and from there on it was very straightforward. I do have minor concerns about treating myself and it would ideal if it were possible to discuss with her.

Sharon was vey impressive. She rang me a couple of days in advance of my appointment to brief me on my visit and from the moment I arrived was caring and kind, businesslike and informative. She answered all my questions and was very tolerant when I occasionally interrupted her in mid flow, for which I apologise. She had a sense of humour and was polite enough to laugh at some of my poor attempts to be funny! She gave me very sound advice and I left the session feeling a whole lot better than when I arrived.
