Tony has always been professional, friendly and understanding throughout my interactions with him. He saw me through titration for ADHD.
He is also very patient, which I'm sure he knows is key when dealing with us ADHD sorts, us being prone to rants and such! Tony always offered reassurances and made me feel listened to and more importantly safe. That last part is something people forget to do when handling mental health issues, because it's probably the most important thing, at least to me, when talking about my mental health which carries a lot of stigma in our societies as many know. I felt at ease talking about issues, and I never felt judgements from him and that made talking to him about problems with the medication or concerns about my mental healthcare a lot easier.

Tony has been a calm and steady force throughout the year it took to titrate my ADHD medication, even when I myself have not been.
Not only has he shown great patience, understanding and knowledge but also a willingness to go above and beyond when medication delivery timeframes and my work travel plans did not align, graciously taking the additional time to call, and work with me and the pharmacy to arrange alternative collection arrangements.
Tony has been a instrumental part of my journey learning to manage my ADHD.
His work has made significant improvements to my quality of life and ability to function in a professional working environment.
I would not hesitate to recommend Tony for his work with Adults with ADHD to anyone.

Tony has been my prescribing nurse throughout my titration of ADHD medication for a late/adult diagnosis. He has been kind, helpful and understanding, and always willing to answer my thousands of questions! I have felt supported throughout the entire process and am very grateful for his service and advice. Having him there the whole way made me feel safe and secure. Thank you, Tony! :)

My name is Tony Adams.
I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse and an Independent prescriber.
My Mental Health career started in 1995 and I qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 1998, with further qualification as a V300 prescriber in 2007.
I have experience in prescribing in most mental health settings and have worked as a Nurse Specialist in Older Persons Mental Health, Learning Disability and Adult ADHD.
I have a special interest and extensive experience in the
diagnosis and treatment of Adult ADHD and related
Emotional Dysregulation as well as other co-existing
conditions.
I also hold a Post Graduate Certificate in NHS Leadership and have worked in a Senior Management Position within the NHS.
