Laura was phenomenal. She listened, did not judge and explained everything very patiently (several times). A heart attack is a shockinging thing to happen and things can move fast. She treated me and my family with incredible dignity and respect. She was wonderful.

Laura Burgon in my opinion is a very able nurse, and I hope the NHS will recognise that, and will do all they can to aid her rapid rise in promotion, so that her skills can be utilised and rewarded. The manner in which she dealt with all the patients in her care was exemplary, being professional, caring and understanding. Doing her job well is her main concern, while taking into consideration the different personalities and situations of the patients in her care. When she was called away from one task to others that were more urgent, she always returned to complete the former task when the more pressing need was met. She was firm when she needed to be, but listened to each patient and met their needs attentively also. She has a very developed ability in the area of interpersonal skills. All the nursing care at St Peter's was of a high standard, but Nurse Burgon excelled.
