I received the best possible care during and after my right knee replacement procedure at Ward U5 of Wrexham Maelor Hospital. No better service could have been provided

I underwent a total knee replacement in November 2022 in the care of Mr Joshi. I received an efficient and effective service throughout. I received high quality guidance and support from Mr Joshi and his team together with outstanding nursing care on the ward. In addition the physiotherapists provided consistent and caring guidance and support.Thanks to all concerned with my care .

My op went well. I stayed over night and felt well cared for and safe.
This despite problems with short staff. This was explained and therefore accepted.
I did not feel this impaired on my recovery other than some delays which were at an acceptable level.

I was treated in such a way it left me devastated later on when the xray department end of last year refused me entry n would give no reason I was in n out of things having had an overdose which im very sad about n just so ashamed. I was also shouted at by a member of the unit, something really strange went on . Im totally in the dark it about it all. It is a Wonderful Hospital. Ive been very glad of the help ive had n Thank You to all! Okay my carer is due they tolerate me n are very kind n helpful. I cannot express my sadness.

I spent nearly 4 weeks in the Maelor 5 years ago. The food was cooked in the kitchen and was really good. I could not fault it in any way.
I have recently spent 3 days in the same hospital, the food was disgusting, no taste, no flavour. 10 out of 10 for the staff but only 1 out of 10 for the food. It really let the hospital down.

I received a complete right knee at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The care was very good and the surgeon, Mr Aweid, was excellent

Staff on the AMU Short Stay ward were excellent despite being ridiculously understaffed. They were patient and understanding even towards patients that were less than forthcoming. It was my first time in hospital and they were compassionate towards me regardless of the situation. I was undergoing detox at the time and they couldn't have been more understanding. Thanks to all the staff.
