I had an appointment for a cardiac ultrasound scan.
From first person at reception, via A&E Covid-19 check, through to actual scan, no-one would expect better.
First: The appointment was on a Saturday in an attempt to get ahead with workload.
Second: I was rung up early in the day to ask if I would consider having my appointment early (rather than late in the day). That was better for me - but I felt no pressure to accept the offer.
Third: Reception and A&E pre-entering hospital checks were friendly and efficient.
Fourth: I arrived on time and was seen immediately.
Fifth: The scan was done with explanations and by a person who could not have been more considerate and helpful.
It is not, physically, the most attractive hospital. But that fades away against the pleasantness of the staff I interacted with.
Should have mentioned the luxury of being able to park easily and without charge. A huge contrast to previous experiences in England.
They took away my parent’s life with their neglect. Rude nurses, poor hygiene- ward wasn’t cleaned in the 2 weeks. Food crumbs around bed! Never seen such poor care
Went in to A&E yesterday and received professional and caring help from all the staff. Can’t praise the service enough.
Thank you to everyone.
Grossly incompetent at managing people with complex care needs.
Failure to manage basic needs led to a pressure sore that was not treated properly and just got worse.
Poor understanding of spinal cord injuries and how to manage people who are doubly incontinent.
Dangerous practices that put patients at risk of exacerbating the injuries they have.
Nurses that lack training and ward managers who show little interest in developing the level of practice in their hospital.
SO much room for improvement.
Went in on a Sunday and it was very busy. Took sometime to see someone but all followed after that. Everyone was very kind and although busy all my fellow patients were very civilised about the situation. Friendly and competent atmosphere
Arrived at 2:30, seen Triage nurse about 4pm, seen doctor about 4:30 then 5:20 had cray then seen doctor at 7:15pm had another x-ray at 8:25 and now it's 9:45 and awaiting to see doctor again, absolutely pathetic
I took my daughter who is 2 year old to withybush a+e on Monday 8th October 2018
cause she had swallowed a 20p was seen by a nurse
who scanned her with a metal detector and found out
she had was told she would pass it naturally she still hadn't
after a few days I took her back seen the nurse
and was then told to wait to see a doctor waited again
then was called in she scanned her rings to show me
the metal detector was working then scanned my daughter nothing
was detected so took her home but I had feeling she hadn't passed cause
I had been checking she has now passed on the 13th October 2 days after
I was told she had so I think the doctor switched the detected off when scanning

My wife went to A&E today and was treated with the utmost care and respect from everyone involved, from reception, triage nurse, doctors, nurses and the tea lady. A wonderful experience during a time of need. These people are wonderful and are a credit to their profession. Many thanks for your help
