Wonderful hospital. Staff were friendly, warm and helpful, the building was clean and cheerful and easy to find.
Just amazing hospital to be in. Cannot fault anywhere, staff and building. Nothing to be improved on.
Fantastic care. My questions all answered with patience and care. Nurses were amazing, very caring and attentive.
A big thank you.
I cannot believe this I hospital is able to operate they are thieves and the staff are very rude.
I have had an awful interaction with a girl called Elena on the reception at the out patients reception. When I asked for a blood test she roll she eyes at me and she you should have the form. I was so upset I spoke to the nurse and she she several people have complained about her. Also the toilets by the reception smelt of urine.
The reception service let the hospital down.
I had atrocious care at the physiotherapy department. After fantastic care from the (spinal) surgical team, I had physio a couple of months post surgery. The physio did not heed the advice in the referral letter which was for gentle core strengthening work only and heavy pressure was applied to the affected area of my back. My back went into spasm immediately following the session. The spasm lasted a few weeks and the neurologigsl sensation in my leg returned. I had experienced no problems with my back since my surgery until this appointment. The situation was not handled well at all. I was informed that such setbacks were simply an inevitable part of the recovery process and they would not waive the cost of the session. I would really caution anyone with back issues to use this service - not only in terms of patient safety but also because of the defensive and unprofessional way in which my case was dealt with.
The hospital and the staff were excellent, I could not have had better care. The food was magnificent.
I stayed one night. I was looked after brilliantly by all the staff—plus, the food was excellent !
We have had a great experience at the hospital of St. John's and Elizabeth's. Everyone is really friendly and helpful and make a hospital appointment feel relaxed. It is also heartening to know that any profits made by the hospital go towards supporting St. John's Hospice and the profits are all for a good cause.
I went to the urgent care centre for a case of haemorrhoids. The Doctor asked if I had insurance and I said that I did not. He said that he could get the Gastro Department to see me. No cost was mentioned. I went up to The Gastrointestinal Department and was sent into see the doctor. He asked if costs had been explained to me and I told him they had not.
He explained his costs and I accepted. To cut a long story short I was charged over £600 for a simple case of piles. I feel well and truly robbed of my pockets not to mention the feeling of distrust for this hospital. Costs should be clear and transparent they are not here.
4 weeks on and I have not received a report on my condition from the doctor or any correspondence pertaining to my condition. I would never trust this hospital with my health
I highly recommend this hospital.
The care I received exceeded my expectations and I cannot conceive how there could be a better experience for anyone receiving treatment.
