Shocking service from Berkshire and Surrey CAMHS, completely inadequate. Rapid Response, CPE, A&D, and inpatient care for my teen in a dangerous mental health crisis was woefully inadequate. Being fobbed off, psychiatrists not returning calls, no communication between hospital staff and CAMHS and not treatment or meds given are just some of my long list of complaints.

1) call patients back 2) assess them in a timely manner 3) psychiatrist assessments asap 4) 2 year waiting lists - really? Outrageous 5) talk to your colleagues, communicate 6) read the case notes 7) talk to the child and parent and listen 8) provide professional caring support for vulnerable patients 9) don’t fob off to other departments/colleagues or inappropriate services

It’s been overall a miserable experience, I felt lucky to have one care coordinator ([name removed]) of whom treated me with respect and care. Unfortunately since her departure, and that of one doctor who helped me, I have found no redeemable peoples. I have felt dehumanised and belittled. I was lied to and dismissed. At the most vulnerable moment in my life when I needed help, I was made to feel the lowest ever by people who was supposed to help me.

Not lied to me or dismissed me, treated me like a human being and not some dumb animal. There is no excuse, I’ve never known such unprofessional behaviour.
