Review of Outpatient Team 1
24th April 2024
The nurses were not the best, huddled in the little office. No one actually spoke to us or came out to check if the patients were OK. You had to go to them. Didn't feel very caring.
Suggested improvements
Nurses to be more interactive with patients.
Receptionist could actually have a smile on their faces rather than looking miserable

Review of Outpatient Team 4
24th April 2024
It was a very satisfactory experience with little waiting .
Suggested improvements
Nothing . It took organisation by me just to attend . My physical condition meant no public transport and I needed a carer to push my wheelchair . I arrived early because parking is so unpredictable and I was seen early which I appreciated

Great care

Not such a long, long wait for urgent cardiology appointment. Affects mental health, as well as physically. Also took its toll on my family. My children are young.

Review of Same Day Emergency Care - Queens
23rd April 2024
Shocking service. 14 hours and counting… plenty of people doing nothing. 14 hours for blood tests results - insane.
Suggested improvements
SPEAK to people. Don’t tell someone it’ll be a few hours which turn in 14 AND I’m still sitting here.
I slept as much as I could on a chair all night not ONE hospital staff member has spoken to me since I had my blood taken at 12:30am it’s now 11:56am, nearly 12 hours. Disgusting.

Review of Surgical Assessment Unit - Hot Clinic (OPD)
22nd April 2024
There is room for improvement.
Suggested improvements
This is an event that I witnessed whilst sitting in the Hot Clinic Reception.
An ambulance crew of two dropped a wheeling crying old lady in a wheelchair to the clinic as she was feeling unwell, there was some sort of discomfort with the tubes from what i overheard.
Whatever the cause, she was in pain and need of immediate attention. However the A&E department had sent her here. The receptionist obviously couldn’t schedule her into the doctors busy schedule. And she’s still sat next to us in the waiting area, it’s been an hour since the ambulance crew dropped her here in Hot Clinic Reception.
It’s really disappointing and heartbreaking to witness such an event. What if that were me, how would I feel, that’s the question we should be asking ourselves.
