I can never thank the wonderful staff at The Essex Nuffield enough for their caring and compassion given to me when I was treated there for breast cancer. I felt safe, secure and cared for by these wonderful professionals. The breast care team who had to ready me for surgery with a number of awkward procedures were absolutely amazing, comforting me when necessary and explaining everything they had to do. One of the radiographers had given up part of her day off to come and help prepare me for the operation - it justs shows how centred on their patients this hospital is. The nursing care was really special to - I was regularly checked throughout the evening and night after my operation and nothing was too much trouble. If you have to be in hospital then the Essex Nuffield gets my vote.

I've had a few operations/ procedures at this hospital over the years and on each occasion have always found the staff to be professional, friendly, approachable. Had fantastic care and never worry about my operations/ surgery/ procedures I'm having done. Have felt in safe hands at all times. Nursing care was faultless at all times. Highly recommend this hospital.

I came to the Nuffield many years ago, but decided I preferred the Hartswood because it looked better and seemed cleaner so for that reason I never tried again. After being asked by my consultant if I would mind having the procedure at the Nuffield to speed things up, I wasn't too keen but agreed.....how glad I am, what a transformation, I was surprised to see that the tired decor had gone, and the rooms were all decorated really tastefully and modern. As for the staff.....everyone that I came into contact with from reception staff to the Matron made my brief stay a really relaxed, pleasant, friendly experience, one that I would certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend. An excellent hospital, with caring, respectful, capable staff. Extremely clean and comfortable, very good food and beverages. I would thoroughly recommend this hospital.

Good hospital... Think staff levels could be improved to then not undermine the care the staff want to provide
