A very disgraceful service at A&E. We got booked into A&E at 8:45pm on Thursday evening and were seen by a doctor for the very 'first' time about 10am / 10:30 am, the following next day on Friday. A very bad & extremely poor service in A&E. Especially, even more so as I am 75 years of age. In my life I have never waited this long at A&E ever. No doctor saw me until the next day. I was kept lying on a bed in the hospital corridor. No doctor or nurse approached me etc. The A&E needs a overhaul and you need to priorutise the elderly and very young too.
All staff was good but the waiting time is too much for the patients who are already in the pain it is too hard to wait on the chairs to get a treatment Just disappointed with the waiting time rest of things Staff very well, Nurses and Doctors appreciated, environment is good neat and clean. We can understand due to shortage of staff everyone have to wait but please try to sort out this.
Thank You

I was taken to hospital via ambulance at 3pm. I was in agony with potentially a dislocated knee. I was left in the corridors all night. The only thing I was given was pain relief twice, once in ambulance and 2nd at hospital. When it came to handover around 8pm at which point no blood had been taken and no dr had seen me. As the handover was being done I saw clearly that my file was not in the pile as they spoke to everyone else but me during handover. I raised this with the nurse to which he replied the other nurse has it as the pile he was carrying was to heavy. I called the nurse who had taken my file and told her to put it in the correct position off the que. I said bloods hadn’t been taken and she lied to my face that they already had taken them and it was logged in the system. I asked her to show me a printout to which she was dumbfounded. She then went and came back after an hour and said she could see my blood results on the computer, which was a lie. I told her to show again dumbfounded and she said she would call her line manager. After a few hours a nurse came to take my blood. I said it’s already done isn’t he said “no”. The previous nurse had lied to my face or someone had uploaded the wrong information. Finally when a dr approached me at around 10.3-11 she said she wanted to do a xray and is waiting on blood work. She gave me some antibiotics just incase of infection. I had the xray and was given the all clear for any dislocated bones. When the bloods finally came back they were also free from any infection. I was given crutches and a course of antibiotics just in case there is a infection which baffled me. Why give antibiotics if there is no infection. I was then discharged at 5am the next morning from when I had come in. I was left in the corridor all afternoon, night and morning. I was not given a bed or cubicle. I couldn’t walk and needed a nurse to get me a wheelchair several times again all 3 nurses said they will be back. I said I’m gonna urinate on the floor infront of everyone still no care. It’s only when my cousin came and found a chair and took me to the toilet.
This was such a traumatic experience I never want to visit kings again.
Because of the way I was treated, everyone that attended to me were friendly and caring. They explained to me about my sickness and gave me the hope that I will be fine.
Sat in for 17 hours in waiting area. Terrible communication. NHS doing this intentionally so no patient dare to come to hospital. Total disgrace how this system is being run. Hospital sent off to see gp. Gp has no appointments.
I was treated with alot of respect and dignity ,I was involved in my treatment all the way throughout my stay in Rafting .
Everybody was totally committed to above and beyond care and attention.
Excellent service, quick and easy
They all showed care
Very poor service very dirty hospital
