I was treated in a nurse led clinic. The nurse was kind and respectful and listened and answered my questions. However I gave fewer stars for involvement and timely information because the tests I had done at my last appointment 6 months ago were not on the system. This means that I still have questions as to the details of my disease and progression.

Suggested improvements
Being more timely with test results.

Down to the reception staff everyone was kind and considerate as I would have wished

Suggested improvements
As usual it’s the parking. Insufficient disabled places near to outpatients. I was dropped off by the occupied places but had to rely on kind strangers to help me to a seat whilst my wife drove way down to park the car. She was tooted to move by bus driver who wanted a wide turn where we had paused to drop off. I can’t use public transport, we travel from near Chelmsford and I have advanced Parkinson’s.

Review of King George’s - Accident & Emergency
12th April 2023

I came in on a '999' and they inserted a catheter of the wrong size, (to small) which leaked out on the bed and nappy and kidney stones were blocking the rubber tube and I was in extreme pain because I could not pass urine. Some urine did manage to flow at the start and was in the bag. I asked a nurse for painkillers but she rushed off leaving me in even more pain on my own. I was screaming out in pain. A long time later she returned and I had to remind her that she promised me some pain killers. She said they had an emergency. I spent the whole day and next day on pain killers. When the catheter was removed, I peed all over the bed and nappy...It was a releaf? I was then sent home.

Suggested improvements
Someone with more experience in using a catheters would have helped. When I complained about pain and unable to pee, the nurse said, "Look there is urine in the bag!"This was urine I passed at the start of insertion. All urine passed after that was the urine that managed to leak between the catheter tube and my uretha. My penis was wet on the outside!?
