Thank you to each and every one of you - I have recieved outstanding care from start to finish. My experience has been 100% positive from the Pre-Assement care where I recieved wonderful re-assurance and honesty (thanks Louise!) to the Day Case where I was greeted by the same fabulous team. Such a fabulously friendly, caring team…. I felt safe and in good hands. I am so very very grateful to each and everyone of you. You are appreciated, hugely. Thank you Fi

From the pre-assessment team to the moment i arrived at the hospital when the receptionist guided me to the Day Care Unit, i felt as if I was a unique individual whose well-being mattered to all the staff. Everything was well prepared, organised & efficient without being regimented. I always felt as if everything would be done to ensure i had the best possible experience & the best possible outcome. Any questions i had were answered honestly & with kindness. The Nursing team of Shelley, Linda & Nikki were attentive, thoughtful & yet still methodical & orderly & they gave me a coherent plan for the day. Tommy from the surgical team & the anaesthetics team supervised by Dr.Critchley all provided me with further support & guidance which gave me confidence that my care was in the very best of hands. A big thank you to everyone involved in my care.

I was cared for exceptionally well at the Belford Hospital in Fort William. I had already heard from previous patients that it was a friendly and well run hospital and I can now add my own experience to this. Every member of staff whom I met was caring, friendly and calmly efficient not only in performing their work, explaining what was happening and why and, most importantly and reassuringly, taking time not only for the care and service they were giving, but also just to take a few minutes of their time to chat and listen to their patients. I was a day patient, but had to stay in overnight for observation. The hospital seemed so quiet and peaceful during the hours of darkness! I only had breakfast, but it was excellent - the very welcome porridge and tea piping hot! My wife was made so welcome, able to stay with me whenever possible before and after my procedure. This was a marvellous help for both of us and greatly appreciated. I am delighted to add my commendations of the staff at Belford, both during my stay and for the pre-op assessment and guidance beforehand over the phone! Thank you so much.....and may God richly bless you all!

My review of the hospital is the same as that of the consultant who conducted the procedure: I had the misfortune of having an endoscopy yesterday at the Belford Hospital in Fort William. It has to be said, I was dreading it, but from the moment I walked in the door, I was treated with more care, compassion and practical assistance than I have ever experienced in the NHS. The entire team of Elidh, Pauline, Penny, Maria, Kasha, Nikki and of course Raj guided me through this distressing procedure with expert ease and made it possible for me to endure without sedation. I will never forget their collective kindness and support.

No further comments to make. The Belford hospital is old and not big enough to cover such a large catchment area. The staff deserve an updated unit. The hospital parking is non existant.

I had two nights in the Belford hospital after a head injury, I cant thank the staff at the hospital enough in particular the nurses. They were absolutely fantastic ! They made my stay as comfortable as possible and were on hand to offer advice as well as care. The DRs were all professional as you'd expect and did a splendid job of my stitches.
