Sarah's consultation by telephone was great. I am sure that you will consider retaining tele and video communications as the first line of treatment when normality returns post covid. No car parking issues, no long waits and for me it was quick and efficient. Brilliant!!!

The therapist took an interest in me and put me at ease. She was clear in explaining things - likely outcome and exercises to be done. I didn't feel rushed and felt enabled to ask questions. She clearly took an interest, checking the notes and looking at X-rays. Very good. Just a note on this questionnaire - it relates to a video session but 'was the location clean' is daft - so I've given it 3 stars as I'm not allowed to leave it blank.

Review of Physiotherapy - Ashford written by a patient

I have found all the physiotherapists I have seen/spoken to on the phone have been very helpful. I had some face-to-face appointments before the current lockdown and then appointments by phone. I found the instructions Sarah Keating gave me by phone very easy to follow and she was very encouraging. I would be happy to have phone appointments in future. I feel it would be helpful for a new patient to have a couple of face-to-face appointments first so that the Physio can see them and assess what the problem is, and then go to phone appointments.

#sayThankYou

I would like to write a note of thanks to Mr T Ali Vascular surgeon and Mr S Tadtayev consultant Urologist who have recently looked after my father who is undergoing treatment for lymphoma and an aortic aneurysm. My thanks goes especially to Mr Ali who, whilst talking to my father listened to his concerns about a lump which turned out to be connected to his lymphoma. His quick actions and referral to Mr Tadtayev meant he was admitted within 10 days and the tumour removed. This was all done at the beginning of lockdown so dad who is 84 had to go into hospital without his family but was treated so well by the nursing staff and the consultants with kindness and care and true professionalism during such trying times. Thank you again. We as a family are very grateful.

Sarah and the team were friendly, supportive and went above and beyond to help me with my injury. If I do ever need treating for anything again, I hope I am lucky enough to be treated by a team like them. I wouldn't change anything about the care I received, it was first class.

The staff from all departments at Ashford Hospital deserve every accolade from me,. I cannot thank them enough for the care and support I have received over the years whilst being a patient on more than one occasion and on the many visits I have made to the various departments. I would especially like to thank my Physiotherapist, Sara, who after my shoulder operation helped and supported me throughout my recovery. She was always full of encouragement even when I thought I wasn't doing so well - but having listened to her and carried out all she set me to achieve, I fully recovered. I am now completely free of pain and have a fully functioning shoulder - my sincere ongoing thanks go to her! I have always been treated with the utmost professionalism and care, throughout all of the departments I have had the need to use and for this I say a very big thank you! I often hear - they are only doing their job - but it goes beyond that, as these professionals have peoples lives and well-being in their hands, they deserve to be treated with respect and should be remunerated accordingly - sadly this seems missing for many at the moment. I do believe we are very lucky in this area to have Hospitals that have such excellent professionals and I shall continue to sing their praises whenever I can. A very big thank you to you all! Pamela Harvey

I was very content with the first telephone appointment with the physio at Ashford Hospital since my accident on 5th April 2020 and subsequent operation (ORIF) which took place on 17th April 2020. We spoke for 30 minutes and were able to discuss all my concerns and to make detailed plans for my exercise regime over the coming months.

My physio Rob, is pretty bloody great. He's not afraid to try things a bit differently and most definitely is treating me as a one off and not going through the motions of a laborious production line. He looks at what is causing me pain and grief and goes above and beyond to find a workable solution that suits and works for me. Please keep being you and caring for your clients.
