After suffering the incompetence of this embarrasment to the NHS for many years, and having to visit the surgery three times every single month just to get my sons diabetes medication, i finally gave in and moved him elsewhere. Unfortunately when i went to put in a prescription request at new surgery i was told Woodview had not sent his prescription list and to contact Woodview to get it. Upon calling them one of the staff refused to give me the list and said they had recieved no request for sons records from new surgery. She then said they had already sent them. She then passed me to an extremely rude woman who told me other surgery would have to fax them and hung up. Incompetent ignorant liars.
Very poor surgery, you can very rarely get through on the phone to make an appointment and when you finally do you are treated like as if you are wasting their time and it isnt important that you see a doctor.
If you try to book a routine appointment you can never get one under 2 weeks and often 1 month.
Reception and phone service very poor, needs massive improvement. Practice manager needs to go on a customer service course.
My usual GP was, until his recent departure, Dr Royston Williams. He was superb (see separate comments).
I am less happy with administration at the Practice. One or two patient-facing staff seem to struggle with the English language, but they are at least pleasant and try to help.
The Practice Manager is a dreadful woman. She was extremely rude to me on one occasion in the Reception area, when I raised a query about follow up treatment. She requires extensive "customer service" training, or another job!
The attitude of the reception staff is at times lacing and this let's down the hard work from the GP 's.
