Iam shocked this surgery is allowed to continue to try and treat patients. I use the word "try" as whenever I ring up, I can NEVER EVER get an appointment. The surgery needs investigating, as patients like myself are at risk.

3 days trying to get an appointment, always told there’s none left , ended up calling 111 and going to A&E . Supposed to go to go to get follow up tests for heart , diabetes and kidney function . Medication given to me by A&E doesn’t agree with me , I call go for appoint and can never get through , always engaged until all appointments are gone. Told to come up next day and queue outside from 8 o’clock. Explained to receptionist about A&E , blood test , medication and supposed to see gp she just repeated come up and queue tomorrow. So you end up queueing outside with dozens of people in god knows what weather and are given appointment hours away so you have to leave and return again . I want to find another practice.

I find it infuriating that you are asked to attend the surgery in person to make an appointment. This I did and yesterday joined the queue outside the surgery with 20+ other patients, queuing in the car park and on to the pavement. How in this day and age do they expect elderly and disabled people to do this. I eventually got to the reception desk, expecting to be told to take a seat and wait, but no, told to come back in two hours. Honestly, what a total disregard for patients. I don't like to complain, as I work in the nhs and appreciate the strain it is under, but this is a ridiculous way to carry on. What has happened here to cause this ridiculous situation of not being able to make a simple phone call to organise an appointment with your gp. If asked, sadly, after being with this surgery for 45 years, I would certainly not recommend!

The CQC have just put this practice under special measures. The report released on 2nd March 2017 states the overall level of care as INADEQUATE.

very efficient and caring staff, nurses and doctors. always able to get appointment, even on short notice. The doctors i have seen so far in this surgery are very caring and competent.
