You can not get an appointment at this surgery
but they are still taking on new customers.
Its just about the money, not the people.
Almost impossible to get through, no answer machine service. Constantly engaged. Dreadful for older people who cannot go online
Firstly I phoned the surgery for two reasons one to ask why my repeat prescription which I had placed with my pharmacy on 1st July had been dealt with by the 7th July ànd two to book an appointment for next week that is w/c 11th July only to be told by th3 automated system that the surgery was not taking any appointments forr the day that I phoned which was the 7th July didn't want appointment for that day anyway!!!!! Totally useless bloody system
The name of this site is 'I want great care' - but if that's what you want then find another practice. The basic problem is that no-one at the surgery does appear to care. It is impossible to make an appointment - either on the phone or online. When they do respond it is to ask you to go Ashford Hospital. Genuinely feels that as a patient you are a hinderence and they all have far more important things to do. They need to realise that most people have genuine concerns about their health and to simply be fobbed off is completely unacceptable. Thankfully I have moved to a different practice.
I have called the surgery for an urgent appointment as suggested by 111 as I am unable to make an appointment with the surgery. The receptionist told me to fill out an online form which will be looked at and triaged. There was no response at all during the day in spite of the urgency or at least an advise on what to do. I decided to attend the walk in clinic, was given inhalers and antibiotics with a further review in 3-4 days time. It is frustrating that access to the surgery now is very limited, and everytime you call its always it has reached full capacity and the advise is to go to A&E. Prior to the pandemic, there are urgent slots with the duty doctor which are used when necessary. This service seems to have disappeared. I am a health care worker and I understand the pressures; this difficulty in accessing primary services adds on to the pressure in secondary and tertiary services with patients going to A&E with issues that could be addressed in primary care. I hope that this can be reviewed to allow for further evaluation of the current system and find a better way for patients to access the service.
