This was my first visit to the surgery since moving here in November. Getting the appointment was easy. I work full time and was on a weeks leave and thought I'd get my hip checked out which has been playing up and I was getting concerned because of have 2 slipped discs and arthritis of the lower spine. I thought will I was there I would ask the doctor about some other minor ailments I have, I didn't know that I only had a 10 minute appointment and in all my years of visiting a doctor I have now felt I was an inconvenience the doctor asked me what was wrong and I told Dr Burns that I had a few things to discuss and was told I only had 10 mins and had to zoom through my ailments this is not a good service I was shocked by the lack of patient care and since being examined in a rush by the doctor I now cannot walk as the muscle strain she suggested it was has now put me in a worse state then when I went the doctors I think it's more than a muscle strain but I cannot walk to the doctors to get it checked out and am now on sick leave from work

my last visit was for a blood test. I used the log in panel instead of bothering the receptionists. This told me where I had to go. I was only waiting a few minutes before the nurse called me in. She was very pleasant as are all of your nurses etc. I was soon dealt with & was on my way. As always a good experience.

In my annual diabetes review all appointments ran smoothly, on time with staff who were delightful and caring. The on going care I receive from this practice is second to none. I moved to Newquay 5 years ago from what I thought was a very good practice, the care and treatment from Newquay Health Centre is way above what I was receiving previously. I would make one small suggestion, notice for regular check-ups come only a couple of weeks before the appointment, being retired I am some times away for a few weeks at a time - if the appointments could be sent by text or email instead of letter, then I would receive notice when travelling and be able to ensure that could inform the surgery if I was not able to attend and not waste an appointment.

Having followed the latest suggestions I used the nhs website to check my symptoms and was told that I should see a doctor within the next 36 hours. it also suggested that I mention this when contacting my doctors surgery. When I eventually got through to the surgery the following morning I duly passed on this information and was told I could have a telephone consultation with the doctor which would be some time in the next two hours. having waited around for that I then had did get to see the doctor but this was a further two hours later , all the morning gone.
