I am under Dr Anita Patel and can always get an appointment to see her or another doctor of my choice. She is also very caring and will often phone me at 8pm whilst still there working. She is a very good and concerned doctor who prescribes carefully. She listens to me and we discuss treatment options and she gives me choices but respects I come from a health science background so my knowledge counts too . She is genuinely concerned and good with my complex difficulties. She is honest and will say if she does not know enough about something and will allow me to give her more information via a specialist etc. The staff there too are very kind and the receptionists answer my calls very quickly even on a monday or Tuesday after a bank holiday. They organise my prescriptions efficiently. I left a chaotic practice to come here a year ago. I was very unwell last year and had daily hospital trips with IV antibiotics for three months and needed all sorts of help from Dr Patel and the team. They did not let me down. One small minor but important point is that there is no mental health information on display at all despite lots of good public health information there and a brilliant health pod.

If you work five days a week don't use this Practise, go somewhere that allows you book appointments in a timely manor and provides a real Saturday service. I called on sturdy morning to get an appointment, the phone went to voicemail. I dropped in the surgery knowing that a receptionist was present, she was not able to make me an appointment because her computer was not turned on, she also could not print me a form to allow me to book on line. So what does she do. I complained to the practise manager, who to her credit did come out of her office to see me. However all she could say was that the door should have been oped and i should not have been able to get access to the receptionist. I bit of a strange argument because even if the door had been locked the reception would have had to let me in to know what i wanted. ??? If you are going to pay someone to sit there, and i understand you must, please oh please get them doing something useful, so we all get value for money

Lovely people who make you feel that they care about you. They are terribly overworked, so not always easy to get a non-urgent appointment quicker that 3-4 weeks, but worth waiting for.

It is unfortunately very hard to get through on telephone and the waiting time to answer calls can be about one hour. This is unacceptable and the surgery must do something to address this big big problem!

I disagree with other comments - I think the reception and admin staff are excellent. Yes there is sometimes a wait on the phone but I've never had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes! This is the NHS not a private surgery, they are surely doing the best they can.
