This is the worst surgery I have ever had the absolute misfortune to attend. This seems to be the view of most Sprowston residents, as noted in many reviews on several websites relating to this so called gp surgery, and, as noted by many residents in the community with whom I have conversed. Many of those residents are professional business owners! My experiences at this surgery are honestly being repeated here, and are all bad experiences. My partner's experiences too, are all appalling. We have nothing positive to say.Everything that we have experienced here shows the gps to be disorganised, rude, sarcastic, most uncaring, lacking in knowledge, and very guilty of misdiagnosing myself, and others, left, right, and centre. The gps are negligent, and have covered it up.One gp in particular told me I had a dreadful progressive disease.I only thought I'd got a minor overworked hand! This gp was so convincing in his misdiagnosis, that I had no choice but to believe him!It was a most frightening time. The gp had got things so completely wrong, but the stress and disruption to my life caused by such a gross misdiagnosis, was enormous.I was so misled by this gp, that I did not want to speak to my elderly parents, for fear of worrying them about the fact I'd been told I'd got a serious debilitating illness. My thoughts were to protect my elderly parents from that, and consequently, I didn't contact them during this worrying time.My elderly father then died, and the stupid, ignorant gp's gross misdiagnosis had meant that I was prevented from keeping up contact with my father in the year before his passing!I will never forgive the gp for being so convincing in his wrong diagnosis.I believed him when he so adamantly said I had a life-changing, progressive, muscle-wasting disease. He had misdiagnosed me, and made me then wait a whole year for a scan that revealed him to be so wrong! But, I received no explanation, no apology, nor acknowledgement at all.I had to wait a whole year until hospital tests proved the gp wrong, but the stress and life disruption his gross errors have caused, are massive. The impact, on my life, of his misdiagnosis, was dreadful in many ways, including missing out on contact with my father for more than a year of his final living years. Now, I really do have a real physical injury, caused by a physical accident, which happened to me during a violent attack, but this gps here have been so flippant, and nonchalant in their response, that they have tossed me aside, as if I don't matter. The gps have behaved appallingly, misdiagnosing me with a serious illness when I went with something minor, but now ignoring me when I now had to go with a real injury from a violent attack. You can't win with this gps. They make gross errors, and they do not care, and they ignore real symptoms. They make up the rules to suit themselves, and they make many mistakes with many patients. What's more, they get away with it!Many people have left this dreadful surgery. Many people have written truthful bad reviews of this place. Not once have any gps ever replied to any reviews! My partner was due for a referral seven weeks ago.His opticians said the referral has to be made via the gp.The optician instigated this, saying the gp should act on this within TEN days.Seven weeks has passed, and my partner contacted the opticians again to ask them to remind the gps re the referral. As yet, my partner is still awaiting the referral letter from this gps!Seven weeks is not the ten days the opticians quoted! My neighbour left this gp because they mistakenly withheld his ongoing diabetes medication! My other neighbour lost her mother early, due to this gps missing the fact she had a brain tumour, which could have been removed, and her life saved!I urge you all to take note and leave this surgery, complain about it, and if you're lucky enough to not be registered here, NEVER register here.Choose anywhere but here!

I have been registered at this surgery since birth. Whilst there has been good care the majority of the time, standards have slipped recently. I was to be referred to see a specialist at the hospital and after nearly three months of waiting for an appointment for this, I found out that the referral had not been sent. In addition, I received a text informing me that a GP had put a stop to my repeat prescription (a seperate health problem) and advised that I have a review. I had attended a review just over a week beforehand and so I was left confused as to why my repeat prescription was suddenly refused, when the GP in the review was happy with it. Not being on the medication makes me very unwell (I am currently in the process of a diagnosis) and I had almost ran out of my medication at that point in time, causing considerable stress and worry that I wouldn't have the new batch of medication in time. I find the receptionists helpful, on a positive note, but I am not content with having to see so many different doctors for this particular health situation. It's frustrating to have to keep explaining things from the beginning, to each new doctor, in a 10 minute appointment slot. It would be much easier to stick to seeing one doctor for my current circumstances, seeing as they are so long-winded and complex.
