All the staff at the surgery are excellent - the doctors (especially Dr Patel) really take the time to understand what the matter is, and always ensure I receive the best treatment. This is quite different to some hospital appointments I have had where the doctor has barely read the notes and spends very little time on the consultation. I feel the staff at the surgery care what happens to me and I can trust that I will be looked after fully.

Many thanks for your kind feedback. It has been a very exciting and extremely busy time for us during our recent move and we are so glad that amongst everything that has been going on we have maintained a high level of service. Excellent services available. Not too long to wait for an appointment which is general for all surgeries. Very happy with all the doctors.

I have always foud the surgery helpful, and I have managed to speak to a doctor or get an appointment when necessary, even though the practiec is very busy. I had recently (2014/5) been experiencing administative problems in getting my regular prescriptions renewed. I was regularly being 'bounced' between the pharmacy and the surgery. In July 2015 I went to complain to the receptionist, Pauline. She was extremly helpful and diligent and took time to sort out the administrative tangle. She even phoned me back several hours later to tell that the problem had now been solved once and for all. I was pleased that she had taken the time and trouble to resolve the matter in a very professional manner. Graham

Many thanks for your kind feedback. It is especially satisfying to hear that one of our staff has gone the extra mile to sort out a problem for a patient. I shall ensure that your comments are passed on to Pauline and thank her on your behalf. Response left by Sally Gaites/Senior Practice Administrator

The surgery seems very disjointed and doesn't run very efficiently at all. The principal doctor will recommend a way of having tests done going forward only for the receptionist to say this is not how things are done and the duty doctors work to their own protocol - seems extremely inefficient and demonstrates poor communication within the practice. Understand why more and more people are seeking private medical treatment. Difficult to get appointments online. Impossible for a doctor to treat a patient properly with a 10 minute appointment window. Complimentary medicine is not even considered by most doctors at this surgery - lack of knowledge in this area is disappointing

I am sorry you are disappointed with the service you received from us. Unfortunately we had to use locum cover in the month of July as Dr Essop left us at the end of June and Dr Qureshi did not join us until August. It is not possible to book locum appointments online and that is why there has been some difficulties. I agree that appointments longer than 10 minutes would be useful but, sadly this is NHS standard at the moment. Discussions have been had in wider context about this increasing, but nothing concrete as yet and, as there is a national shortage of GPs, this is unlikely to happen soon. I can't answer for GPs and reception working in a disjointed way without more detail. If you would like to call our Practice Manager, Katie Mitchell, or myself, we will happily discuss this further with you. Feedback is one way in which we can improve the service we offer. Regarding your comment regarding complimentary medicine, NHS GPs are expected to follow best practice directed by NICE and other bodies and can only give advice based on solid evidence. We are unable to refer to many complimentary therapies on the NHS at the current time, but the doctors do their best to understand patients holistically and discuss all the options available with them. I hope this goes some way to address you concerns and thank you for taking the time to give your feedback. Response left by Sally Gaites/Senior Practice Administrator
