I have been under the care of Dr. Evans since I had my cancer diagnosed some nine years ago. Without Dr. Evans excellent care and concern I wouldn’t be here now. Many mistakes were made with my late diagnosis, along with the operation which was done at the Wrexham Maelor, but Dr. Evans was fantastic, if it hadn’t of been for him insisting more and more tests as he knew something was wrong, I might not had been diagnosed as the Maelor were useless. Over ther years he has helped me and support my family through a very difficult and emotional time I cannot thank him enough for everything he has done for me, it’s such a shame all Doctors were not switched on like him as if the were I would have been diagnosed by the hospital earlier, but they kept on saying there wasn’t anything wrong, yet Dr. Evans knew and kept on insisting on more tests such a wonderful Doctor in every way, now he is retiring I don’t know what I will do as over the years of the excellent care he has given me, he has listened to how I have felt in all of this and tried his best to make my life bearable with the excellent support and care I have received from him. I and my family will miss him dearly. I have been a patient at this surgery since I was born 54 years ago when it was run then by another Dr Evans and Dr Taylor I wouldn’t go to any other surgery as I like continuity, I would still like for Dr. Evans not to retire but my family and I wish him well. A wonderful Doctor with an excellent bedside manner.

I have noted the comments about Dr Evans at Plasybryn Medical Centre. As far as I am concerned, Dr Evans has always been courteous and professional What more can one ask? I have, in fact, received courtesy from all the doctors at Plasybryn and have also found Drs Atkin and Gallagher particulalry helpful, Likewise the nurses, health assistants and most of reception.

Was treated appallingly by the senior practitioner at this surgery...told to "shut up about NICE guidelines" in a telephone call ( not asked for by me). Thankfully I had a witness to this call. Dr Evans actually hung up on my witness as she intervened and asked him a question as his rude, bullying and highly aggressive and unpleasant manner had caused me great distress and upset. He clearly has an anger problem or is a misogynist. As someone with mental health problems which include severe anxiety I cannot stress enough how this angry , aggressive and wholly unprofessional man should not be allowed in contact with vulnerable people.!! Despicable Dr Evans. Will be complaining to the relevant authorities as complaints to in-house practice manager , unsurprisingly, achieves nothing! If you value your health do not go here!!!!!

Even though you have not left your name on this review we know that we tried, but unfortunately, we couldn’t meet your expectations. We hope you have formed a better working relationship with the new practice you joined.
