It is bordering on impossible to get an appointment at the surgery.
At the moment the telephone is only option and it is usual to be on hold for over an hour on the extremely antiquated telephone queueing system.
For some unknown reason the surgery have now disabled all means of online booking requests which seems madness as this is a perfect way to reduce workload of receptionists and help prevent the frustrations felt by all patients.
This is not a new situation. It has been going on for years now and is just not acceptable in this day and age. A real shame as the doctors and nurses are first class when you do eventually get in.
Staffs and doctors are very helpful.
On the phone for over a hr and still number 2 in que.
trying to get an appointment for the flu jab so phoning outside busy surgery times phoned at 10.05 and was number 7 in the queue so thought it would not take long 45 minutes later i finely had a reply as i was only number 7 in the queue how long were the ones behind me waiting. when answered no apology for the wait as if they were doing you a favour in replying .Practice manager needs to sort things out over there.
I recently lost my dad at Ty Erin and was not able to get a Death Certificate as Dr Lloyd was on leave. This is a very stressful time and the reception was less than helpful. Dad has been under the care of this surgery since he went into Ty Erin on 1 November 2018. His death was recorded by the attending paramedic and yet I heave to wait at least 4 days for a death certificate and that being a Friday, a lot longer to register his death. All this has to be done before I can register his death and make the necessary funeral arrangements. Unacceptable!! When I asked the recpionest what would happen if Dr Lloyd was on a 21 day cruise I received no answer. Totally unacceptable!!!
