My son went for appointment this morning never been before so didn’t realise had to use clock in machine was stood in que for 10 mins before appointment but by time got to desk was just 3 mins late so the receptionist refused to book him in. He took the morning off work has lost money. 3 mins late is that it it’s different when doctor running half hour late it’s discusting

Trying to get an appointment since this surgery has merged, has become almost farsicle. The min time i have been on hold was 25 mins only to be told when i get through, that all appointments have gone.
Its just as well you have some good Doctors in particular Dr Dallimore otherwise i think a fair few people would move. Its a real shame as i used to rate the surgery but just recently just trying to get through is becoming a real.problem.

There seems to be some general inprovements regarding Oakengates Medical Practice since the formation of Teldoc. The loss of senior GP's such as Dr Nolan and Dr Williams was a concern but new Doctors have been well received.
The problem with this Practice, and most, if not all, are the receptionists. Different Receptionists can be polite or can be very curt, depends who you speak to. I have found today 15.05.19 both ladies were polite, friendly and extremely helpful.

Have been trying to get through to Oakengates Medical Practice for 3 days now. Keep getting same message every time I phone morning or afternoon - This is your Doctor please phone again after 2pm. What on earth is going on!!

The surgery is a joke, can not even get through on the phone to request an appointment. No doubt when I will eventually get through I will be told that there are no available appointments for the next 4weeks. Had my diabetic blood test done over three weeks ago was sent a letter asking t make an appointment with the GP as soon as possible. Possible! It that place that will be never. Son has had an overdue asthma review, can't get him an appointment either, now been told that he will probably have problems getting his repeat prescriptions as his review isn't up to date! How is that his fault when you don't answer the phones to make appointments!
So frustrated with the place, been registered there for over 20 years, must be time for a change. There is definitely better practices out there!!!!
