Tried for days to get an appointment. Told different info by different staff. Resulted in 3 attempts to get appointment to be told to try and call back the following week as bit classed as urgent. Required contraception so quite urgent for some, and become urgent due to the delay. Ended up paying to obtain through an online Dr through super drug as worked out less expensive than the working hours lost trying to contact you.

Suggested improvements
Need a system that can be used by those with work commitments. Granted if you are I'll and not in work you can sit and wait til 8.30 to call. At this time I am driving in an area with poor signal where call always drops out. For items that aren't urgent like prescription or contraception there needs to be an alternative method. Since lockdown I can't remember calling without having the automated message that all appointments are full and to try and call another day if you don't seem to be urgent. I feel that those of us with work commitments and paying tax and national insurance are last resort on accessing care unless extremely unwell and off work.

I have been at this surgery many years & watched it steady decline. Receptionist think they are GPs & act as barriers to speaking to GP. the surgery is always empty of patients they act like we are still in Covid restriction in favour of electronic AI systems which frequently get thungs wrong. Trying to get an appointment or meds here is near ipossible.

Suggested improvements
Staff rather than AI systems. Politeness treating a patient as a parient rather than an interuption.

Receptionist helped me get some critical drugs for an elderly parent. It was complex due to the hospital being involved in the initial prescription. - Receptionist liaised with pharmacy and hospital to find suitable alternative - ensuring no gap in treatment . Well done!!... and very much appreciated

Appointment impossible, other professionals had to intervene to get my autistic son an appointment. An appointment was then made without telling us? Phoned to rectify only to be told Business Mgr had locked appointment system and only he personally could open it. In general reception staff rude & unhelpful/disinterested. They seem more interested in new systems, their web site, than patients. They promoted digital inclusion, emails etc. When I did email was told it was suspended due to staff sickness by Business Manager. All barriers to service.

Suggested improvements
As above

I have tried for several days to get an appointment. If you ring a minute before 8.30 the surgery is closed. I rang a minute after and after all the covid preamble was 49 in the queue. Needless to say no appointments available 42 minutes later. Their whole system is a shambles. They have closed the ask a doctor section on their website as it was too busy!!!

Suggested improvements
Make it easier to speak or see a doctor at present it is virtually impossible.
