Tried for days to get an appointment. Told different info by different staff. Resulted in 3 attempts to get appointment to be told to try and call back the following week as bit classed as urgent. Required contraception so quite urgent for some, and become urgent due to the delay. Ended up paying to obtain through an online Dr through super drug as worked out less expensive than the working hours lost trying to contact you.
I have been at this surgery many years & watched it steady decline. Receptionist think they are GPs & act as barriers to speaking to GP. the surgery is always empty of patients they act like we are still in Covid restriction in favour of electronic AI systems which frequently get thungs wrong. Trying to get an appointment or meds here is near ipossible.
Receptionist helped me get some critical drugs for an elderly parent. It was complex due to the hospital being involved in the initial prescription. - Receptionist liaised with pharmacy and hospital to find suitable alternative - ensuring no gap in treatment . Well done!!... and very much appreciated
Appointment impossible, other professionals had to intervene to get my autistic son an appointment. An appointment was then made without telling us? Phoned to rectify only to be told Business Mgr had locked appointment system and only he personally could open it. In general reception staff rude & unhelpful/disinterested. They seem more interested in new systems, their web site, than patients. They promoted digital inclusion, emails etc. When I did email was told it was suspended due to staff sickness by Business Manager. All barriers to service.
I have tried for several days to get an appointment. If you ring a minute before 8.30 the surgery is closed. I rang a minute after and after all the covid preamble was 49 in the queue. Needless to say no appointments available 42 minutes later. Their whole system is a shambles.
They have closed the ask a doctor section on their website as it was too busy!!!
