Very difficult to make appointments unless you have the time to hold on the phone for a long time. Not flexible at all for people who work full time. I hope appointment system changes soon. Dr Chandon very helpful once seen.
Blackthorn admin staff have, and are always polite and caring. Under the pressures that they have had to endure over the last few years they have always had a smile on their faces and always go the extra mile.
Have always found visiting Blackthorn Medical Centre a positive experience.
The practice is very well organized. A phone call in the morning and a doctor will return the call, assess the problem and make an appointment to see you that day.
This last month I received two calls from a doctor to ask if I was feeling better.
The kindness and care I received for pain prior to my knee replacement was fantastic.
There is no continuity of care. They don't listen to the patient properly they just want to get on to the next patient. I feel they are more concerned about statistics than care of the patient. You have to wait too long for an appointment which has an impact on getting treatment. If tests come back normal it doesn't mean that there is nothing wrong if the patient is still unwell it means you haven't found the cause and you should be getting them back to the surgery quicker not ignoring them.
The practice needs to listen more and take more care of their elderly.
